He decided on amputation, and CAF was there for him from the start, granting him his first running leg. - [Heather Lopez](https://www.challengedathletes.org/team-members/heather-lopez/): Heather is currently serving as the Challenged Athletes Foundation Regional Director in Idaho, where she works to create and promote opportunities and unify adaptive sports across the state. Prior to this role, she practiced as a sports and orthopedic physical therapist for 14 years across the country. She received her doctorate from Baylor University in 2008 and subsequently served in the U.S. Army as a physical therapist. Her undergraduate degree is from Michigan State University, and she bleeds green! In her role, Eva leads adaptive sport clinics and programs across the greater Bay Area, with offerings expanding from Sacramento down through San Jose and surrounding communities. - [Kelly Worrell](https://www.challengedathletes.org/team-members/kelly-worrell/): Kelly has been part of the CAF family since 2018 when she was granted an adapted bike for competing in paratriathlon.  She has been actively involved in the CAF community in the Northeast ever since.  Kelly came to CAF following her position as the assistant director of an adapted sports organization in the Philadelphia area. She is an athlete with a disability herself and is passionate about helping to make sports accessible to all. Her hobbies include spending time with family, running triathlons, and horseback riding. - [Nico Marcolongo](https://www.challengedathletes.org/team-members/nico-marcolongo/): Marine Corps veteran Nico Marcolongo has dedicated his career to helping veterans and first responders rediscover purpose through sport. After serving overseas, he joined CAF and now leads Operation Rebound as Program Manager, overseeing grants and events that provide adaptive equipment, training, and community support. A professional barber for more than 20 years, she met a local Paralympian through their family and stepped in to help the athlete’s organization with a part-time summer role. Anna is completing her Master’s in Kinesiology where her research focuses on assessing the barriers to adaptive sport and applying physical activity guidelines for all. Not ready to leave the CAF team, she continued her internship tasks post-completion and eventually was brought on to the Finance team. Olivia is a San Diego native and grew up in and around sports racing triathlons and competing in track and cross country. He has extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions with an emphasis on the representation of developers, owners, and operators of real estate and real estate-oriented businesses. An avid cyclist, Dean got involved with the creation of CAF’s Million Dollar Challenge and has been the event’s Co-Chairman since 2008. His leadership and vision for MDC have been integral to the progression and longevity of the event. His practice focuses on estate planning, trust and probate administration, business and corporate transactions, and employment law. Clive provides advice and support in business-related matters from entity formation through the day-to-day needs of growing and developed businesses, including the preparation of employment-related documentation and a wide variety of transactional agreements. With twenty-two years of experience in commercial banking, David is a strong asset in the financial management of the foundation. - [Tabi King](https://www.challengedathletes.org/team-members/tabi-king/): Through her work in the prosthetics industry, Tabi began as a volunteer in 1995, just after CAF’s first San Diego Triathlon Challenge, to provide her expertise in sports for people with physical disabilities and execute media support. In 2000, she became the first full-time employee of CAF in the role of Director of Programs and Development where she worked alongside Virginia Tinley to create the programs that exist today. She has played a strong role since the beginning in the strategic and operational development of CAF.
