The prasadam is served between 11:30 am and 2:00 pm every day. This initiative has been taken following in the footsteps of Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON who introduced prasadam distribution as one of the key programs of ISKCON temples all over the world. Distribution of food offered to the Lord has a great spiritual significance and is glorified in various scriptures.

People say that Krishna is the eighth avatara of Lord Vishnu. But Brahma Samhita, a prayer composed by Lord Brahma, mentions that Krishna is the original purusha and He is the source of Lord Maha Vishnu. This is also confirmed in Srimad Bhagavatam. He appeared as the son of Devaki and Vasudeva and performed various pastimes along with His brother Balarama.

God is one without a second, but He expands Himself in many forms. The immediate expansion of Lord Krishna is Balarama. Lord Balarama is as good as Krishna Himself, the only difference being that the bodily hue of Krishna is dark and that of Balarama is fair. Lord Balarama is the source of all spiritual power (bala) which helps one attain the highest bliss of life (ramana) and hence the name Balarama. He is the protector of the devotees of the Lord. Without His mercy one cannot approach the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna.

His devotion is unparalleled and he has set the standards for serving the Lord. Even today, he lives in Kimpurusha varsha, and constantly glorifies Sri Ramachandra. There is no difference between Lord Ramachandra and Lord Narayana. But Sri Hanuman wanted to serve only Lord Ramachandra and he did not accept the supreme benediction of eternal life in Vaikuntha loka. He decided to stay back in the earthly planet and glorify Lord Rama. He did not want anything that would diminish his relationship as the servant of Lord Ramachandra. There is a small altar of Sri Hanuman just after the Harinam Mantapa. On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, Hanuman is offered an elaborate abhisheka, benne alankara (butter decoration) and vada-mala.

Since then, he has successfully conceived and implemented many large-scale public service projects that positively impact millions of people. He has also worked tirelessly to preserve and promote Indian spirituality, culture and heritage among children and youth for their holistic well-being.

Hare Krishna Chanters Club was launched in September 2014 to further this divine cause and help more and more people to participate in practicing the Yuga Dharma. Every Saturday and Sunday, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. the volunteers of the Chanters Club provide guidance on the chanting of the mantra (japa meditation) at our temple. Anyone who makes a spiritual commitment to chant at least one round of Hare Krishna mantra (108 times) every day is eligible to become a member of the club. The members will get regular e-newsletters from the club and support and guidance from the temple on the practice of chanting. Above all, they will get opportunities to take part in the Sankirtan festivals, seminars, training sessions and japa workshops organized by the temple on a regular basis.
