Jones Bootmaker was founded by Alfred and Emma Jones in 1857. Born as a family business, it has become an integral part of the British footwear industry and a trusted source of beautifully crafted footwear on the British high street.

In 2018 Pavers Shoes acquired Jones Bootmaker, bringing it full circle back into the hands of a family-owned business with traditional values and a passion for footwear.

Jones Bootmaker operates as a multi-channel retailer with over 20 stores nationwide, and a growing online presence. The brand prides itself on using quality leathers and expert construction methods to provide luxury footwear at affordable prices.

As part of Pavers, we remain acquisitive, highly profitable, and are an ever-growing, independent family-run business, employing over 1,900 people.

We were delighted to be recognised as a 3* employer for workplace engagement and to receive an ‘Excellent’ rating for our Employee Experience from WorkL in June 2025.
