# Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism
 
> Official destination marketing organization (DMO) for the Nelson and Kootenay Lake region of British Columbia, Canada. The site provides travel inspiration, trip planning resources, accommodation booking, event listings, and recreation guides for visitors to this four-season mountain and lake destination in the West Kootenay.
 
Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism (NKLT) represents six communities surrounding Kootenay Lake: Nelson, Kaslo, Balfour, Ainsworth Hot Springs, the East Shore, and North Kootenay Lake. The region sits between the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges and is known for outdoor recreation, arts and culture, heritage, craft food and drink, and major music festivals. The site is built on Drupal 10.
 
The organization acknowledges that the land is the traditional territory of the Sinixt, the Syilx, and the Ktunaxa peoples.
