- [Nick Merpaw](https://www.orkincanada.ca/specialist/nick-merpaw/): Nick started in the pest management industry as a technician and has held multiple management positions during his over 22-year career. Nick is a graduate of the Environmental Pest Management program at Sir Sandford Fleming College. In his current role as National Accounts Quality Assurance manager, Nick works closely with Orkin Canada’s large National clients to ensure all pest management best practices are implemented correctly and his area of operation includes Ontario and east to Atlantic Canada. Nick also works with the branches in his regions to help support them with communication and technical support.
- [Alice Sinia, Ph.D., MSc](https://www.orkincanada.ca/specialist/alice-sinia-ph-d-msc/): With more than 20 years of experience, Alice is responsible for the management of the Orkin Canada Quality Assurance Laboratory located at our GTA Training Centre. She performs analytical entomology (investigates product adulteration using biochemical and comparative tissue methods), and provides technical support in pest/insect identification to branch offices and clients nationwide. In addition, Alice also prepares scientific reports for Orkin Canada clients, updates Orkin management on any changes or updates to any government regulations pertaining to the pest control industry. Alice also performs quality assurance account compliance audits.
- [Martin Hardy, B.Sc., M.Sc.](https://www.orkincanada.ca/specialist/martin-hardy-b-sc-m-sc/): Martin has more than 25 years of experience in the field of pest management. He provides quality assurance support to all of the Orkin Canada branches in Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec, and is responsible for quality assurance audits for Gold Medal accounts. Martin is also responsible for all French language technical training and insect identification reports for Quebec. He is a recognized speaker in the pest management industry and provides technical training to clients. Topics include bed bugs in hotels and sanitation programs for the food processing industry. Martin is passionate about entomology. He is the author of an identification guide on Quebec beetles as well as several scientific publications on the description of new species of insects.
- [Scott Graham, BCE](https://www.orkincanada.ca/specialist/scott-graham-bce/): Environmental Pest Management - Sir Sandford Fleming; Board Certified Entomologist (BCE); Certified Environmental Health Technician (CEHT) - National Environmental Health Association With over 30 years of structural pest management experience in Food Processing, Food Service, Hospitality, Commercial, Industrial and Institutional applications, Scott is in charge of Corporate and Environmental Compliance for Canada. He specializes in all areas of Urban, Industrial and Commercial Pest Management. In addition to being trained in both food safety and HACCP, Scott has completed the FSPCA (Food Safety Preventative Control Alliance) Preventative Controls for Human Food auditor course. He holds seven provincial pesticide applicator licences in the areas of Structural, Fumigation, Fish/Mollusc, Forestry, Industrial Vegetation, Mosquito/Biting Flies and Landscape. Scott is a Board Certified Entomologist and a Certified Environmental Health Technician. Scott’s industry accomplishments have included conducting numerous pest management and food safety seminars for some of the largest food processing companies in Canada and the United States.

In his current role as Technical and Business Development Director, he oversees the Quality Assurance and Compliance teams across Canada. As a member of the senior leadership team, he is also responsible for business development opportunities. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (Canada) where he received a degree in Zoology with a specialization in Entomology and is a Board Certified Entomologist with the Entomological Society of America. - [Sid Smith](https://www.orkincanada.ca/specialist/sid-smith/): Sid Smith has over 27 years of extensive pest control experience. Sid Smith is Orkin Canada’s primary contact for our National Account clients on a day-to-day basis, ensuring quality service is being delivered, from coast to coast. Sid is an Associate Certified Entomologist and a licenced pesticide applicator.  Sid has been involved with provincial and Canadian pest management boards as a Director of the Canadian Pest Management Association and as President of the Structural Pest Management Association of Ontario. Sid works closely with large national clients delivering presentations and best practices. Sid also works closely with Orkin Canada’s operations team, both in class and in the field on pest problems and solutions.
- [Tony Arruda](https://www.orkincanada.ca/specialist/tony-arruda/): Tony has over 35 years of pest management experience in various roles – as a Service Technician, Service Manager and a Branch Manager. He has extensive pest control experience in many different fields including residential, multi-family/apartments, wildlife, goose/gull control and with bird exclusion. Tony holds a Structural Applicator’s license, fumigator’s license and has mosquito/biting fly license for Ontario. Tony has certifications for Aerial Platforms, Working At Heights and Confined Spaces. Tony provides Integrated Pest Management training to large Gold Medal clients, as well as bed bug training and presentations to major hotels in the greater Toronto area.
