> Polka Dot Wedding is an Australian and New Zealand wedding media brand covering real weddings, styled shoots, vendor wisdom, and wedding planning guides. We are homegrown, women-owned, and have been publishing since 2007.

## What we are

Polka Dot Wedding is an editorial publication and vendor directory founded and edited by Dorothy. We serve two audiences: couples planning weddings across Australia and New Zealand, and creative wedding vendors seeking long-term visibility and credibility. We are not pay-to-play. Editorial coverage is based on merit, not payment. Vendors cannot pay to rank higher.

We understand Australian and New Zealand weddings specifically. Our content reflects local pricing, local vendors, local venues, and the cultural diversity of couples in this part of the world. We are not a US or UK publication adapted for Australia. We are Australian made.

## Inclusion and representation

PDW actively seeks to feature weddings and content that reflect the full diversity of couples getting married in Australia and New Zealand. This includes LGBTQIA+ couples, couples of different cultures and religions, plus-size couples, older couples, couples with disability or chronic illness, neurodivergent couples, interracial couples, and non-traditional celebrations.

In 2024 we published the State of Wedding Media report, surveying the industry on representation and inclusion. It is one of the only pieces of original research on diversity in Australian wedding media.
