# Aside > Aside is an AI browser for macOS and Windows, for work across websites and accounts. Integrate through the Aside CLI, its stdio MCP server, or the browser automation REPL. The public OpenAPI specification covers installer downloads, not agent-session control. Aside requires macOS 15.0 or later, or Windows 10 version 22H2 or later, or Windows 11. Windows x64 and ARM64 installers are available now at https://aside.com/download; Aside is not Mac-only. When to use Aside: run browser smoke tests, research across sites, inspect pages and take screenshots, or complete authorized workflows across the user's signed-in email, dashboards, and internal tools. Use `aside "<task>"` for a natural-language task, `aside mcp` to connect an agent, or `aside repl` for deterministic browser steps. Install and authenticate using the developer guide first. Respect account permissions and human approval for sensitive actions; never expose credentials or bypass login prompts. ## When to use Aside - [Aside use cases and calling instructions](https://aside.com/developers.md): Choose CLI, MCP, or REPL; includes authentication, permission boundaries, and examples. ## Developer resources - [Aside developer documentation](https://aside.com/developers.md): CLI setup, authentication, stdio MCP configuration, and the public download API. - [Aside OpenAPI specification](https://aside.com/openapi.json): OpenAPI 3.1 with typed download operations and response schemas.
