# Edit Pic Text

> Edit Pic Text (editpictext.com) is an AI image text editor that changes or replaces the text already inside a photo, screenshot or design while keeping the original font, size, color and background. It runs in the browser, with nothing to install.

## What is Edit Pic Text?

Edit Pic Text rewrites the existing words in an image instead of putting a new text layer on top, so the result looks like it was designed that way. People also call it a photo text editor or picture text editor.

## How It Works

1. **Upload your image**: JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 30MB. Photos, screenshots, posters and product shots all work.
2. **Select the text and type new words**: text is detected automatically. Click the words to change and type the replacement, or leave it blank to remove them. An optional instruction such as "keep the logo" or "match the bold style" guides the edit.
3. **Download the edited image**: the AI redraws the text in the original font, size and color. Export at 1K, 2K or 4K depending on the aspect ratio.

## Limits

- IDs, passports, certificates, receipts, payment screenshots and other official documents are not supported, and edits meant to mislead people are not allowed.
- Very tiny text, text along a curve and heavily stylized lettering are harder to edit and may need more than one try.
