## About Howden Insurance

> Howden Insurance is one of the largest insurance brokers in the UK. We have 100+ insurance broker branches located across the UK, and can source clients in local communities quotes for over 200 different insurance policies. Our teams have a particular expertise in sourcing and advising on car, home, van, caravan and business insurance policies which are provided by the wide range of leading insurance providers we work. From home insurance to horsebox, commercial cover to kit cars; we have access to a range of mainstream and niche insurers, who offer the full breadth of policies to cover your every specialist requirement.

> We haven't always been called Howden Insurance, because we were once A-Plan Insurance. In 2021 A-Plan Insurance joined the Howden Group. Howden Group was founded by David Howden and two of his friends in London in 1994. Since then, it has grown to be one of the UK’s largest independent insurance brokers, with offices all over the world that serve local people, locally. The culture hasn’t changed since David started the business – its client focus matches our own and that’s why it was a perfect home for A-Plan.

> When we joined the Howden family, we said we would change our name when the time was right. That moment came in October 2023, and Howden became the new name for A-Plan Insurance.
