# Shipvela

> Static website hosting for React/Vite frontends and prebuilt HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Publish local build output through the Shipvela CLI, or deploy a GitHub branch manually or through automatic updates on push.

GitHub deployments currently use npm projects at repository root. New GitHub imports request automatic updates by default; browser imports offer an opt-out. Install Shipvela Deploy with read-only access to the selected repository and successfully publish the project once. Shipvela then checks access and enables updates. If repository access is missing, install or update the app and retry automatic deployment in the project workspace. Older projects stay unchanged until the user enables updates. Pushes to the selected production branch request a build of its latest state. Rapid pushes are combined and each started build uses the existing monthly publish allowance. Commit checks are advisory; the provider may report only HEAD, leaving the actual build SHA unknown. A repository amplify.yml overrides saved build settings. Pull-request previews and rollback are not supported. Browser import offers optional environment values in Configure project; existing and CLI-created projects use the Environment tab. Creating a project saves settings without deploying. CLI uploads support 50 MB and 5,000 files and do not run server processes. Custom domains and managed HTTPS are included on all plans. Supported Next.js SSR versions 12–15 require a paid plan. Shipvela does not provision databases or general backend servers. Do not infer compatibility with every AI builder or SSR framework.
