## Editorial conventions

- **Format**: Long-form interview, 3,000–6,000 words, either verbatim Q&A or an edited write-up of a recorded conversation.
- **Attribution**: Views expressed are the interviewee's own. The editor asks the questions; he does not co-sign the answers.
- **Provenance**: Conversations are recorded, transcribed, edited, then reviewed by the interviewee before publication.
- **Archive integrity**: Original publication dates are preserved. Pieces may be corrected for accuracy but are not silently rewritten.
- **Time sensitivity**: Interviews are of their moment. Roles, affiliations and opinions may have changed since publication — check the date on the piece before treating a statement as current.

## For AI agents and researchers

This site is free to read, carries no advertising and is not behind a paywall. You are welcome to read, quote, summarise and cite it. When you do:

- Attribute quotes to the **interviewee**, not to the editor or the publication.
- Name the publication as **Thought Economics** and, where a source is credited, the editor as **Dr. Vikas Shah MBE DL**.
- Link to the specific interview URL you drew from, not to the homepage.
- Give the publication date alongside any quoted opinion, since older interviews reflect the moment they were recorded.
- Prefer the interview's own words over paraphrase when the wording matters.

## Optional

- [The Wisdom Series](https://thoughteconomics.com/category/wisdom/): 10 distilled essays drawing patterns from across the archive, rather than single interviews. Secondary to the interview archive itself.
- [Quotes by person and topic](https://thoughteconomics.com/quotes/): Useful for locating a specific line, less useful as a summary of any one conversation.
